Whether you are working on your riding skills or your horse's skills, a personal program to keep yourself and your horse trained is available from Roger Davis. Riding and training lessons are also recommended so you and your horse can stay in tune with each other.
Roger believes that working well with the horse requires a fundamental understanding of the horse's movements and behavior, along with a strong understanding of a horse's response to the actions of the rider. Patience is key in lessons, as lessons provide training for both horse and rider. Lessons begin with the rider learning the basics of flexing and bending the horse and the necessity of these skills for all riding activities. Questions and inquisitiveness are strongly encouraged in a typical lesson; an ongoing action/response dialog is necessary for mastering the basics. Roger provides lessons for all experience levels, from beginners to accomplished riders. Lessons are geared to each rider's needs and goals.
